Accounting
The Bachelor of Science in Accounting at SIMAD University is a rigorous, theory-driven program designed to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and business decision-making. Rooted in international academic standards and aligned with professional expectations, this program develops analytical, ethical, and technical competencies essential for careers in public accounting, corporate finance, auditing, and the public sector.
Through a balanced curriculum that integrates core subjects such as financial accounting, management accounting, taxation, and corporate finance, students gain the skills required to analyze financial data, manage resources, and support strategic planning. Emphasis is also placed on ethical standards, regulatory frameworks, and the practical application of accounting tools.
Graduates of the program are well-prepared for further professional certification (such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA) and for pursuing advanced degrees in accounting, finance, or business-related fields.
To be eligible for admission into the Bachelor of Science in Accounting program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Academic Qualification
- Successful completion of secondary education with a minimum overall average of 50% or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Required Documents
- Original and photocopy of the secondary school certificate.
- Six (6) recent passport-size photographs with a white background.
- An official letter of good conduct issued by the applicant’s secondary school.
- A sponsorship letter from a parent or legal guardian confirming financial responsibility.
- Entrance Evaluation
- Applicants must successfully pass an admission interview and/or entrance examination administered by SIMAD University.
- Administrative Requirements
- Payment of a non-refundable processing and student ID card fee of USD $50, payable via bank draft.

The Bachelor of Science in Accounting is a full-time, five-year program designed to provide in-depth academic and professional training in accounting, auditing, and risk management.
Student Fees and Payment Policy
This policy applies to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled in the Faculty of Accountancy. (Note: The English Language Program is excluded from this policy.)
Fee Structure
- Total Semester Fee: $345.00
Payment Options
Students may choose from the following payment methods:
🔹 Full Payment: Pay the entire semester fee upfront at the beginning of the semester.
🔹 Installment Plan
- 1st Installment (30%) – Due before class registration
- 2nd Installment (40%) – Due before midterm exams
- 3rd Installment (30%) – Due before final exams
The SU academic year consists of 42 weeks split into two semesters of 18 weeks each, the first beginning in August.
